The name Stoor of Lappland came about by chance. I wanted to honor my family and our Sami heritage. I designed a pendant “solhjulet” and instinctively felt that our Sami name should be included in the company name, so that’s how Stoor of Lappland, also abbreviated SOL, was started. The vision of SOL is to produce products with engraving and Sami crafts for home decor with a Sami and Norrland focus.
